Nanhua University awarded model school for altruistic service for fifth consecutive year The altruistic service program helped Nanhua win the title at the collegiate level and a total of six awards
The 6th “Altruistic Service Award—Practice Model” sponsored by the Association for the Promotion of Altruistic Service of the Republic of China, was host to faculty and students of Nanhua University who won six awards. Nanhua upholds the principles to encourage good behavior, rewarding good deeds, to elicit good words, and to evoke positive thinking”. Such principles sing in tune with the university motto of “Three Acts of Goodness”, which has penetrated into campus and community. They compose the three boons of life and help boost a self-awareness of altruism among university faculty and students. It led straight to Nanhua’s winning the title of “Altruistic Service Award—Practice Model School" for five consecutive years. This year (2021), the association conferred six awards for six service altruistic projects from Nanhua, a university that has long held in compliance with the University Social Responsibility (USR) concept. A few days ago (March 3) Chairman Huang Jun-sen of the Association for the Promotion of Altruistic Service of the Republic of China visited Nanhua University in person to confer awards. President Tsong-Ming Lin, Vice President Chen-Zhang Lin, Dean of Student Affairs Ya-Mei Liu and Deputy Dean Bo-Wen Wang also attended the grand event and witnessed the record-breaking 5-year attachment, glory and joy.
